East Beaver Creek Road

East Beaver Creek Road failed initially in early 1999.  Due to competing work priorities (i.e. the Sandlake Road Slide), the decision was made not to declare this road failure an emergency.  The County in good faith initiated environmental permit applications for the proposed repair work to occur during Summer 1999.  Due to challenges in the environmental permit process, the permit did not clear during 1999 thus no repair work was allowed to start that year.  During November 1999 the major storm hit Tillamook County, East Beaver Creek Road suffered further significant damage at the above early 1999 site and 2 other sites further upstream.  Repairs were finally completed during 2000.
